Revealed! The 5 Biggest SCANDALS of 2017

Scandals

Washington, D.C. is a cesspool of corruption – and it has been for centuries.

But 2017 may be a year for the record books.

This was the year when we learned about shady kickback schemes, illegal drug running, and plenty of Congressmen who couldn’t keep their hands to themselves.

Here’s our list of the 5 biggest scandals of 2017. Can you guess what made the list?

#5: Congress’ Sexual Harassment Epidemic

Members of Congress apparently have been running around like unruly frat boys for decades – and this was the year that America finally had enough.

Sexual harassment allegations led to the resignations of high-profile figures like Michigan Rep. John Conyers and Minnesota Sen. Al Franken. And this story isn’t over – expect more shoes to drop (and more resignations) in 2018.

#4: The Uranium One Cover-Up

In 2010, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton helped approve a sale of American uranium interests to Russian firm Rosatom. It was a bad deal on paper – and it may have been even worse than we realized.

Allegations surfaced that Russian-backed nuclear interests steered millions to the Clinton Foundation while the so-called Uranium One deal was under consideration.

Worse, we learned that Rosatom was under investigation for a bribery and kickback scheme in 2009. But the Federal Bureau of Investigation, lead by current special prosecutor Robert Mueller, swept the probe under the rug. Expect more hearings on this next year.

#3: Crooked Hillary and the Trump Dossier

A mysterious dossier made several serious (and debunked) allegations against President Trump and was designed to ruin his presidency before it even started.

But we learned that Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee helped provide the funding for the dossier – and tried to cover their tracks. Trump has grounds to sue both of them for libel… whether he will bother dragging them to court is another matter.

#2: James Comey’s Faulty Memory

Former FBI Director James Comey claims he didn’t decide to skip prosecuting Hillary Clinton in “Email Gate” until after he’d interviewed her in 2016.

But memos surfaced this year proving that Comey began drafting an exoneration weeks before talking with Clinton. Did Comey lie to Congress under oath? We should find out in 2018.

#1: Obama, Terrorists, and a MAJOR Cocaine Ring

Former President Barack Obama claimed he was doing everything in his power to fight terrorism. But a bombshell report surfaced late this year claiming that Obama allowed terror group Hezbollah to continue smuggling cocaine into America – all to help move along a foolish nuclear deal with Iran.

This story isn’t over by a longshot. A federal investigation is already underway – and don’t be surprised if there are criminal charges in the new year. This scandal could be bigger than Watergate.
