He hates President Trump, and he thinks voters is his home state are with him.
But apparently New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio didn’t get the memo… voters in New York DON’T LIKE HIM!
According to a report from The Washington Free Beacon, de Blasio is viewed favorably by fewer New York state voters than President Donald Trump, a new poll shows.
A Siena College poll showed that 29 percent of New Yorkers view de Blasio favorably, with 53 percent viewing him unfavorably. Trump was viewed favorably by 34 percent, although he had a higher unfavorable rating at 63 percent. Only 3 percent didn't have an opinion on Trump, while 17 percent didn't have one on de Blasio.
De Blasio was underwater with Democrats (39 favorable/45 unfavorable), Republicans (13/70), and Independents (24/58). Trump was viewed unfavorably by wide margins among Democrats (19/77) and Independents (32/65) as well. In keeping with his national popularity with the GOP, however, Trump held a 70/29 split with the state's Republicans.
This is terrible news for de Blasio, who according to the report has tried to brand Trump as "Con Don."
But since entering the race, it’s been nothing but bad publicity for de Blasio.
When the second-term mayor entered the race, Trump filmed a video welcoming him to the contest while also calling him the worst mayor in the United States and the worst mayor in New York City's history.
A group of New York policemen heckled him at his Good Morning America interview, and MSNBC interviewed citizens who ripped his candidacy, with one likening it to an April Fool's joke.
De Blasio might want to take this latest poll as his cue to step aside from the presidential race!
