House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has been an absolute disaster for the Democratic Party.
She’s one of the least popular members of Congress. Under her leadership, the Democratic Party has struggled to raise money and has continually lost seats in Congress… even her fellow Democrats are distancing themselves from Pelosi.
Has this downward spiral finally made Pelosi snap?
Judging from her comments on last week’s raid and crackdown of illegal immigrants in California… she’s completely off her rocker.
On Wednesday, Pelosi needed just three words to sum up her thoughts on the raid. She thought it was "unjust and cruel."
You read that correctly… Pelosi thinks the arrests of 115 illegals who had prior felony convictions for serious or violent offenses -- such as child sex crimes -- are “unjust and cruel.”
Are you kidding me?!
Pelosi didn’t stop there. Pelosi also said last week’s raid marked “a new low” from the Trump administration and said the president was abusing the legal system “to push his mass deportation agenda.”
"The people of California will not be bowed by the Trump administration's brazen aggression and intimidation tactics,” Pelosi said. “Californians will continue to proudly keep our doors open to the immigrants who make America more American. We will fight this sham lawsuit and will fight all cowardly attacks on our immigrant communities."
According to Fox News, the four-day raid in the San Francisco Bay Area led to the arrest of 232 illegal immigrants, 180 of whom Immigration and Customs Enforcement said “were either convicted criminals, had been issued a final order of removal and failed to depart the United States, or had been previously removed” from the country and had come back illegally.
But don’t expect a flood of support from her fellow Democrats… in fact, if recent history is any indicator they will stay VERY far away from her.
Pelosi has already angered many House Democrats after she repeatedly dismissed President Trump’s tax cut bill’s benefits to the working class as “crumbs.”
And Democrats aren’t just tired of her comments on tax reform… they also question her ability to lead.
Late last year when Democratic Michigan Rep. John Conyers was credibly accused of being a serial sexual harasser. Pelosi initially defended Conyers as an “icon” and deferred to a House Ethics Committee investigation — a process that can stretch out for years.
It took Pelosi 10 days to call for the establishment Democrat’s resignation, which she did only after facing the prospect of a revolt from members furious that Conyers could remain in office.
Pelosi’s days as the leader of the Democratic Party may finally be numbered. And it may all come down to those three simple words... but at least she’ll have the support of violent illegals!
