Special Counsel Robert Mueller spent months and millions of taxpayer dollars for an investigation that was supposed to get to the bottom of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
But so far, his probe has been all smoke and no fire.
His first arrests, announced Monday, included an unpaid intern for Donald Trump’s campaign and former campaign chief Paul Manafort, who is being charged with crimes that allegedly occurred before he even met Trump.
Is this really all that Mueller has? And, if so, why didn’t he wait?
Well, evidence is surfacing that Mueller may have rushed through the indictments in a pathetic attempt to save his own skin.
As America Uncensored reported yesterday, Mueller has been under intense scrutiny over the past couple of weeks over the 2010 sale of U.S. uranium interests to a Russian firm, while Mueller was serving as head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The FBI was reportedly investigating the Russian company, Rosatom, for bribery and kickbacks a year before the Uranium One deal was approved by the Obama Administration.
But the report was buried for years, raising serious questions about what role Mueller may have played in a cover-up.
Now, serious irregularities have surfaced in the first charges filed by Mueller in his Russia probe. And it’s looking more and more like he rushed the arrests to get the uranium story out of the news and take some heat off himself.
As first reported by American Thinker, Manafort had no clue he was about to be indicted just two days before charges came down.
George Papadopoulos, the former Trump intern, as also given such little notice that his attorney was not even available.
“This is unusual in federal non-violent crimes indictments,” American Thinker reported.
Unusual? It’s practically unprecedented. And it has “rush job” written all over it.
Patricia McCarthy, a reporter for American Thinker, speculates that Mueller was “feeling the heat” over the growing Uranium One scandal.
And that makes sense. Mueller is now linked to a major Obama Administration cover-up, and he has stacked his Russia probe with Democratic party activists.
He’s looking more like a political hack by the day, which recently led the Wall Street Journal to demand that he resign.
President Trump has promised he won’t fire Mueller… but Mueller sure deserves it.
He’s wasting taxpayer resources filing charges that have nothing to do with Russian collusion.
And he’s proving that he cares more about protecting his own backside than getting to the truth.
