As the 2020 elections heat up, the Democratic Party is scrambling to get their candidates in line.
As first reported by The Daily Caller, Ohio Democrats are nervous that their candidates aren’t taking the right approach with the working class – and they could lose the election because of it.
Just like Hillary Clinton did in 2016.
According to the report, President Trump is setting himself up as an aggressive working class champion while the Democratic candidates are busy focusing on issues that have little to no importance to the working class.
In fact, when Democratic operatives recently spoke to reporters they even noted that their top candidate Joe Biden, who claims to be a blue-collar Democrats – is entirely “missing the point.”
Ohio Democratic leader David Betras told the Times, “The Democratic Party has lost its voice to speak to people that shower after work and not before work… All we’re saying is: He won’t turn over his tax returns. He’s saying, ‘I’m fighting China to get you better jobs.”
Betras added, “They don’t care about his taxes… they just don’t.”
He’s not the only Democratic leader who feels this way…
Ohio Rep and presidential candidate Tim Ryan noted that Trump is “punching China in the face” and Biden doesn’t think it’s an important issue.
“If we go into the election with that as our message, we’ll get beat again.” Stated Ryan.
But that’s not the only issues the Democrats are facing…
Trump is looking at great approval ratings and an even better economy rating… Something American voters are very conscious about after eight years of Barack Obama in office.
Darrell Franks a former Democrat who voted for Trump told reporters… “What I want from a president is the rest of the world to look at him and go, ‘Don’t mess with that guy, he will get even… I don’t want kinder, gentler. I don’t want some female that wants her agenda.”
